DETAILS
- Date: Saturday May 2, 2020 - Sunday May 24, 2020
- Where: Anywhere, preferably a trail, but wherever you can run, hike, or walk safely and keep social distance
- Why: Because it's a bummer we can't run/race/hike as a group, but at least we can still get outside
- What: Run/Hike/Walk 5K, 12K or 30K
- Medals: Yes, and they are awesome
- Shirts: Yes, equally awesome
- Stuff: We'll send you some Honey Stinger product along with your shirts and medals
- Results: Posted online, here on this site. Instructions for submitting results will be sent with registration.
- Strava Members: Join the Rock It Anywhere Club to share your run(s)
- Raffle: Yes, for registered participants. Raffle will be done live online and recorded on Sunday May 24th
- Fees: $35 for 5K, 12K, or 30K
- Getting your stuff: It will be mailed starting in mid-May as you submit your results / proof of run
30K KING AND QUEEN SOLO POINTS CHALLENGE
Points will be awarded in the 30K (only) as follows, and top points earners will be crowned and showered with prizes like N95 face masks, toilet paper, $30, and a buff. Here's the deal:
- 2 points for running at least ONE hour of the continuous 30K between the hours of 9:00PM and 4:59AM. This activity will take 2+ hours, so you could start at 9:00PM, 3:00AM, 4:00AM, etc.
- 1 point for each Instagram post DURING YOUR RUN/HIKE using #rockitsolo, up to 5 points earned for 5 posts, but of course you can post more (live video and IG stories ok).
- 1 point per Rock It Racing item worn during the activity: hat, buff, shirt. Double points (2 points) for an items from a 2015 or 2016 Rock It Racing event
- 1 point for using an Orange Mud hydration pack or bottle of any sort (photo proof required)
- Points for elevation: 1 point for 1,000-1,999 feet; 2 points for 2,000 - 2,499 feet; 3 points for 2,500 - 3,499 feet; 5 points for 3,499+ feet. MUST POST RUN ON STRAVA FOR THIS TO BE MEASURED AND COUNTED. Points are not additive and will be awarded per elevation range only.
- 3 points if you finish 30K under 2.5 hours; 2 points if under 3 hours; 1 point if under 4 hours.
- 2 points for doing all or part of this in the rain (photo and weather app evidence required - we will check the weather!)
