Hello Haunted Hills Runners and Hikers,
Ready for some run on the trails at Whiting Ranch this weekend (Saturday 10/23)? Costumes are optional, but every year the Halloween spirit brings many smiles and that's what we love to see. It's so great to watch everyone get into it, even if it's simply an orange shirt and black shorts!
The 5K and 12K courses are no joke: "Hills" is in the name for a reason. So come ready to work and enjoy the trails. And remember to smile for the camera as Paksit Photos will be taking pictures on the course. As always, photos are included!
Here is important information to help you prepare for race day:

LOCATION AND PARKING
- The run starts and finishes in the Glenn Ranch lot at Whiting Ranch Wildererness Park. Please make sure you are going to this location and not on of the other entry spots
- Parking for a $3 fee is in the Glenn Ranch lot or you can find a free spot on Definition or Icon streets (just a short walk across the street). If you park in the Glenn Ranch lot we will collect payment (cash preferred) and give you a parking pass when you arrive. That lot is just steps away from the start line, so if you want easy access that's the place to be. If you have an OC Parks annual pass, you'll process that as usual at the automated kiosk.
- Whiting Ranch is a wilderness park, and there are NO DOGS allowed anywhere in the park: not in cars, not in day use areas.
- Parking lot will open around 7:05
- Bib pick up will be available starting at 7:15
- 12K will start at 8:15
- 5K will start at 9:00
- We'll have two aid stations on the course. The 5Kers will hit one station about halfway in. The 12Kers will hit station #1 twice (once on the way out, once on the way back), and aid station #2 once. See map for locations
- Aid stations will have water, sports drink, and gels for the 12Kers
- The courses will be marked and volunteers will be in several key places to support and guide you
- Course maps and videos are in the link below
