Final Race Instructions Email Sent on 4/21 at 8:00PM
Hello Earth Day 10Kers!
Tomorrow is race day at Peters Canyon Regional Park and we're looking forward to seeing you all there!
Here's information to help you prepare for the evening run:
SCHEDULE & COURSE INFO
Parking is ALL off-site for this race. We have a couple of options, and both require a 10-15 minute walk to the park so please allow enough time.
#1: Chapman Hills Elementary School on Aspen, about a half mile from the park. You can park in the school lot or on Aspen which is the street that leads to the school. There is space for about 100 cars in that area and that should hold everyone. If that is full, or if you prefer this location:
#2: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Newport Ave. There is plenty of parking here. It's about 0.7 miles from the park.... it's a nice walk down Skylark to one of the park trails.
Please do not park in the residential areas around the park. Permits are required, and you will likely be ticketed. The reason we're not parking in the OC Parks lot (the Peters Canyon lot) is that space is limited and the park is very popular with various types of users. We need to protect the space for them, and because of this, we've arranged for off-site parking. THANK YOU for your cooperation and understanding! We will not be invited back if we take over the parking lot.....Honestly the fact that we arrange offsite parking is the only reason we get this event approved by OC Parks each year.
Happy Trails!
