Keep your fitness goals through the busy holiday season, and get in the holiday spirit with a 5 Miler or Half Marathon at beautiful Caspers Wilderness Park.
- Date: Sunday, December 5, 2021
- Check in for registered runners begins at 7:00 AM.
- Half Marathon begins at 8:00 AM (subject to change). Course time limit is 3.5 hours.
- 5 Miler begins at 8:30 AM (subject to change)
- Registration Fee: $65 for 5 Miler and $90 for half marathon
- Inclusions: Awesome custom race medal for all participants, tech shirt, race photos, post-race snacks. Note: Registrations after 11/20/21 cannot be guaranteed an Elves medal or shirt.
- Prizes: Top 3 overall men and women finishers in the 5 Miler and Half Marathon events receive awards and prizes
- Age division awards, three deep, in both races in the following categories: 9 and under, 10-19 20-29. 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over
- Location: Caspers Wilderness Park 33401 Ortega Hwy, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675
- Parking: OC Parks entry is $5 payable upon entry. Race takes place near the Old Corral area of the park.
- We are a paper-cupless race. Every participant is required to carry his/her own water or container for water. There will be 4 refill stations on the half marathon course and one on the 5 Miler course. All will have water and sports drink. We DO NOT USE PAPER CUPS in our races.
- IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Race may be rescheduled due to rain or muddy conditions, per OC Parks, and up to the discretion of OC Parks leadership and Caspers Wilderness Park Rangers. If this happens, we will notify participants 48-72 prior to race day. Participants will automatically be transferred to the new date. This race is a wilderness trail race with several hills and uneven terrain. The half marathon has approximately 1200 feet of elevation gain, and is not for the first time trail runner or first time half marathoner.
